Yogurt: Yogurt is the number one food many associate with probiotics as they are loaded with the live bacteria. However, some yogurt does not contain probiotics as they are heated when contained which can destroy the bacteria. 

Kefir: Kefir is a delicious fermented milk drink that is a fantastic source of probiotic bacteria. 

Miso: Anyone who loves sushi has probably been served a warm soup as an appetizer. This miso soup is made from beans and is a great source of probiotics.

If you are really looking to boost your probiotic dose or your doctor has suggested taking probiotics then probiotic supplements are a fine option. It is not uncommon for a physician to recommend a daily probiotic supplement to those on antibiotics to help restore the healthy bacteria in the intestional area.
